Dana Scully liked to think she was a rational and professional human being. Sure, she found Mulder to be attractive the first time she saw him, but she never planned on sleeping with him. Plus after the first unintentional eye roll, she knew this was going to be a trying partnership.
Then Oregon happened, and things got weird. Really, weird, and while standing in her candle-lit bathroom she allowed herself to believe for just one moment.
That was enough to send her into her partner’s room, wearing nothing but a robe. Hell, she didn’t even care that she was wearing what could best be described as granny panties, she was just so relieved when he said it was just a Mosquito bite.
She couldn’t help it, she leaned in and just kissed him, and he took the lead from there.
After they just talked. He told her about his sister, and it was just nice. Then the phone rang, and Peggy O’Dell was dead. Billy Miles was no longer in a coma, and all their evidence burned. It was back to work, and back to the case.
Neither of them said anything about it, and once they got back to D.C., Scully SWORE that she would never do something so unprofessional again.
